French Fries

Small potatoes - soaked for approximately 15 min after they were peeled. Fries were cut into 1/4in thick (pretty narrow) pieces. Then soaked for 15min in cold water. The cold water was replaced and the fries were soaked for another 15min.

Seasoned with salt, pepper, olive oil, rosemary, and tiny bit of thyme.

Toaster Oven
-375degrees/Broil; Bake; 25 min - already preheated
Baked on rack. The back ones were crunchy like toast. The front ones were still a little soft. It was ok.

Big Oven
-375degrees; Bake; preheated from 350 with fries in, then 20min
Baked on rack on bottom rack - maybe it was too close to the heat. Uneven bake even per row and per fry. Most were burnt. Only approximately 10 fries were edible. They were a baked kind of crunchy; not quite as toasted as the back ones in the toaster oven. Because it was uneven, there was a burnt part to almost every fry.

Air Fryer
-380 degrees in one layer; 7 minutes, shake, then 7 minutes again
Very good. Crunchy on the outside and soft enough on the inside to be like fries.

Verdict: Air Fryer.
